Map of Nicaragua and Morgan's Rock
Nicaragua is Central America's largest country and borders to the south with Costa Rica and to the north with Honduras.
To the east is the Caribbean Sea and to the west the Pacific Ocean. The capital city is Managua and the most important
colonial towns are Granada and Leon. The border crossing to Guanacaste in Costa Rica is at Penas Blancas.
Morgan's Rock Hacienda and Ecolodge is located just north of the Costa Rican border. It is a one hour drive to
the Granada Airstrip and a two hour drive to the Managua International Airport. The lodge is located right next
to the area where originally the Canal through the Isthmus was supposed to be build. From the highest point of Morgan's
Hacienda, it is possible to see the Pacific Ocean to the west and Lake Nicaragua to the east with Ometepe Island and the
two volcanoes Concepcion and Maderas.

"I go for a long sunset swim off the beach at Morgan's Rock and feel as though the whole Pacific were mine alone."
